40″ Estate Lion, Each — Solid Concrete

Nothing announces an entrance like a guardian lion with real weight behind it. This 40-inch seated lion has a dramatic flowing mane, an expressive face and powerful paws resting on a formal plinth — the classic look of a European estate gate, cast in solid concrete in our Michigan workshop.

At about 700 pounds it is a permanent architectural piece, not garden decor. Set one beside the front steps, or order two to flank a driveway, gate or courtyard entrance.

Choose your finish

Every piece is cast in solid concrete the same way. You choose how it is painted:

• Classic Stone — painted in an even, natural stone colour for a quiet, timeless look that sits easily in any garden. $15 less than Standard. Stone colours: Natural limestone, Weathered gray, Antique white, Sandstone, Charcoal.
• Standard — hand-painted exactly as you see it in the photos.
• Custom — painted by hand in the colours you choose. Describe them when you order and we read every request before we paint. $25 more than Standard.

Popular finish requests: natural architectural gray, vintage stone, aged verdigris, antique black or charcoal, textured silver, sandy gold, bronze, beige, white or black. Choose Custom and describe the look you want.

Where to set it: on a solid, level base that carries weight — a concrete pad, stone, heavy pavers or a pier. On soft ground a piece this heavy can settle and lean. In freezing climates, keep the base out of standing water.

When will it arrive?

• Ships in about 2 weeks. A lion this size is made to order: cast, cured, hand-finished, sealed and strapped to a pallet in our Warren, Michigan workshop.
• We call you within 2 business days of your order to agree a delivery window and check that a freight truck can reach your address. Please give a phone number at checkout.
• Free freight delivery by lift-gate truck to your curb or driveway. Freight transit usually takes 3–7 business days after pickup, depending on how far you are from Michigan.
• Plan for the last few feet. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground but does not carry it inside or set it in place — at about 700 lb, line up several strong helpers or equipment (a local landscaper or mover is ideal).
• Check the pallet before you sign. If anything looks damaged, note it on the driver’s paperwork and send us photos. Please be there for the window you book; freight lines can charge a fee if the driver is kept waiting.

Your purchase is 100% protected

• Insured in transit, at no cost to you. If it arrives chipped, cracked or broken, send us photos within 7 days of delivery and choose a replacement or a full refund. You will never be asked to ship a broken lion back.
• Wrong piece, a casting fault or a missing part? We put it right at our cost: the correct piece sent, a replacement or refund for a genuine defect (reported within 30 days), or the missing part shipped free.
• Need to cancel? Cancel before it ships for a full refund. On hand-painted and custom work, we refund all the work we have not yet started.
• Secure checkout by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe’s encrypted payment page and never touch our website.

Before you order

• No change-of-mind returns. Solid concrete is heavy and costly to ship back, so once a piece is delivered undamaged the sale is final. Damage, defects and mistakes are always covered, as above.

• Handmade means one of a kind. Each piece is cast and finished by hand, so small differences in color, texture and shape from the photos are normal — the mark of real handwork, not a fault.
